Dr. Dustin

Dr. Dustin was born in Durango, Colorado on a cattle ranch and at the age of seven moved with his family to Providence, Utah. A life involved in ranching has brought Dr. Dustin a love for rural life and the outdoors.

Dr. Dustin entered military service during his senior year of high school. While in the Army, serving in a medical unit, he fell in love with medical care. He served as a reserve soldier while attending undergraduate education at Utah State University.

Dr. Dustin took a break from military and schooling obligations and served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Kobe, Japan. Upon returning from his mission, Dr. Dustin graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He attended medical school at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri.

After completing Medical School in Kirksville, Dr. Dustin spent two years in Provo, Utah doing clinical studies. Dr. Dustin entered a rural family medicine residency program in Pocatello, Idaho to help him achieve his dream of becoming a small town physician. After falling in love with eastern Idaho he moved to Burley, Idaho where he worked for Family Health Services for six years. He settled in Rexburg, Idaho in 2015 and joined the Fall River Family Medicine practice. Through his medical career, he has grown to love all facets of family medicine from newborns, pediatrics and adolescents, to primary care for adults and the elderly.

Through the many different areas that he has lived, Dr. Dustin has always found comfort in the mountains. He loves spending time outdoors, including hiking, mountain biking, road biking, camping, and hunting. Dr. Dustin’s other hobbies include woodworking and flying. He got his pilots license a few years ago and has enjoyed his new found love of seeing the world from a new perspective.
