Joshua Gilgen

Josh has a love for Idaho and the people that make it home. He is excited to serve this special community at Fall River Medical.

He was born and raised in Ammon, Idaho. He graduated from Hillcrest High School where he met and eventually married his high school sweetheart. In his youth he was very active in high school sports, the Boy Scout program, and anything outside. He furthered his education at Brigham Young University- Idaho and Salus University in Philadelphia, PA completing training to become a physician assistant. With a passion for families and children he worked in a pediatrics clinic in Yakima, WA for five years. While living in Washington state he also served as an adjunct faculty member for Heritage University’s Physician Assistant program teaching pediatrics. Josh returned to Idaho with his family in 2018 and worked in an orthopedics practice in Idaho Falls for a year where he gained invaluable knowledge about orthopedic issues. Since then he has enjoyed practicing family medicine and urgent care. He loves teaching others how to live a healthy and active lifestyle. He believes that listening to a patient is the most important step of any healing process or health maintenance.

Josh enjoys introducing his children to the outdoors and spending time with his family. When he is away from the office you might see him on the slopes skiing where he serves on Kelly Canyon Ski Patrol, hiking, riding his horse, fly fishing on the river, hiking, or working on a project at home. Josh and his family feel very blessed to live in Idaho and serve this community.
